Facilities Optimization at Home Improvement Retailer
A global home improvement and renovation retailer, with big-box stores in major cities, was looking for a way to control the outside air ventilation in its stores and have their HVAC system intelligently adapt to the various store zones and to their hours of operation. They were also looking to reduce their energy costs and receive energy rebates. A Facilities Optimization solution was recommended with multiple sensors per store to monitor CO2 levels and occupancy.
Project Details:
- Installation of a FOS system in 600 stores with 5-6 sensors per store (1 per RTU)
- Sensors monitor CO2 levels of customers and employees, sending data to central unit
- System intelligently controls ventilation and reduces HVAC needs by zone and hours of operation
